Allen County Fair

Almost a week chock full of fun begins at the Allen County Fun Fair on Tuesday, July 22, and will continue through Sunday, July 27 at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2726 Carroll Road.

New features include a fireworks show and Fair Fun Parade on opening night, mud bog and dirt drags, medieval duel demonstrations, more midway rides with dollar ride nights and the return of the donkey races on Kids Day Thursday, July 24.
The fair welcomes a new Indiana-based midway operator, North American Midway Entertainment, which will bring rides for all ages including the spinning ‘Sizzler,’ a high-flying ‘Yo-Yo’ swing and ‘Freak Out’ revolving pendulum that sways riders up to 127 degrees.

In addition to the new midway, highlights include: Kids Day, a queen and little miss pageant, talent contests, live music, demolition derby, truck pull, monster truck rides, team pig wrestling, air rifle shooting range, 4-H exhibits and animals, artisans and more. The popular hot air balloon flight and glow is set for Thursday, July 24, in conjunction with a free ice cream social, sponsored by Blue Bell Ice Cream.

The public is invited to participate in the following events:
Tuesday, July 22: Youth Talent Contest, Parade (groups, businesses, 4-H groups), Redneck Relays & Rickshaw Races, and the Antique Tractor Display (open all week, but tractors must be on display by Tuesday morning).

Wednesday, July 23: Pedal Car Races (youth to adult classes), Team Pig Wrestling

Thursday, July 24: Cookie Stacking, Pizza Eating, Kiddie Tractor Pull, Donkey Races

Friday, July 25: Classic Car Cruise-in, 4X4 Truck Pulls

Saturday, July 26: Free Throw Contest, Demolition Derby

Sunday, July 27: Mud Bog and Dirt Drags

Registration forms can be found on TheAllenCountyFair.com, and participants can always sign up day of an event.
