Back To School Means Back To Homework

What you see pictured above is our 'homework box'.  It is an empty baby wipe container that I have put pencils (lots! of sharpened ones because we go through them very quickly, I don't think they were made like when we were kids.), erasers, scissors and a glue stick.  You can add anything that your child will use regularly to the box.

This saves you from having to round up supplies every time your child does homework.  It seems like inevitably someone needs a pencil sharpened while I am feeding the baby or making dinner, this box eliminates that.  The baby wipe box is just the frugal take on it, you could also pick up  a pencil box that are very inexpensive right now as well.  I also thought a sturdy shoe box would work.

If you have older kids, you might make one for each kid, if they do their homework separately.  Now is a great time to stock up on all of these items because of the back to school sales.

Thanks, Jill, for this great idea!  I think that it is going to make homework time get started so much more quickly!
